Profile: LIN TIDY

About This Author

Lin Tidy was born in London’s East End and left school at 15. She returned to education in her 20’s, eventually completing a Joint Honours Degree in English and American Studies at Nottingham University aged 39. She has had a variety of jobs including barmaid, machinist, shop assistant and primary school teacher. Lin started writing in 1980 in California after being told that in order to study psychology it was compulsory to also take the composition class. Encouraged by her lecturer Robert Rippy, Lin continued writing short pieces, reading them to close friends only. She began writing The Warrior on the Wall, her first full-length book, whilst serving a prison sentence. Since then an article about her late father titled, Seven Years in Ireland, has been published in Pendulum, The Journal of MDF the Bipolar Organization. Lin currently lives in Kent with her dog, Bob.
