About This Author

I live in the North East of England with my husband Derek. ‘The Counsellor’ is my first full length novel and number one of the ‘Maggie Sayer’ trilogy. When I can bear to be separated from my lap top and writing projects, I work voluntarily for Victim Support, visiting and supporting victims of crime as well as spending time with my family, (four adult children and seven grandchildren.) Past training in therapeutic counselling inspires my writing, with all three novels, ‘The Counsellor’ ‘Maggie’s World’ and ‘Pretence’ following therapeutic counsellor Maggie Sayer and several of her clients. As well as being written for entertainment the books offer readers the unique opportunity of being a ‘fly on the wall’ in counselling sessions. There are some gritty contemporary issues in the novels but all are dealt with in a sensitive and non offensive manner. I’m a great believer in happy endings!
