Profile: Tracey Allison

Tracey lives with her three young boys in the beautiful county of Devon on the south west coast of England, where she grew up. Her love of writing was apparent from an early age and, combined with her insatiable appetite for adventure and travel, it was really only a matter of time before Noah’s Harbour was born. “I remember as a child, my paternal grandmother would talk to me about having ‘Roots & Wings’ and about never being afraid to explore and to look for adventure because my roots were firmly placed in Devon and I would always have a place to come back to, no matter where I travelled”. Her words never left Tracey and it was whilst standing on the harbour side of the beautiful estuary town of Salcombe, that the idea for Noah’s Harbour was born. The host and founder of Exeter Real, Tracey combined her experience of living with her young family in the surfer’s resort of Huntington Beach, California, with her love of the sea and adventure to create Noah’s Harbour. Having three grown sons of her own, Tracey was determined that they grow up with the same advice she was given; with a deep understanding that with the right attitude, determination and focus, life can and will be all they desire. “When I started out with Noah’s Harbour, I had a vision of the harbour being a sort of safe haven away from the storms of life, but that if you look away from the harbour walls and out to sea, there’s a big, wide world just waiting to be explored. You have to step out of your comfort zone to become all that you can be, but it’s good to know there’s somewhere to fall back on.”
