I was born, and still remain in the north east of England in the seaside village of Seaton Carew, near Hartlepool. I have always dreamt of writing books for children but it was not until I retired 7 years ago that I decided to put pen to paper or fingers to the keyboard in my case. I spent many years working as a shorthand typist before I attended university and obtained a diploma in social work. I have been married to David for 47 years and have two daughters and four grandchildren. I began writing, primarily as it has always been a dream of mine, but also for my grandchildren.
