Arthur Jones was born in Wales and grew up in the valleys, where he worked in the coal mines for twenty-six years. He migrated to Australia in 1980 with his wife and son, and worked as an owner truck driver until he retired in 2003. He has been writing for a number of years, but only took it seriously after his wife passed away in November 2009.
