Debezezi

Initially inspired by South Africa's "Hole on the Wall" Pondoland legend and other beliefs, this epic story with many twists leaves the doors open to imagination in the end. Whilst rooted in ancient Khoisan, Xhosa and Zulu historical mythology, spirituality and cultures, this story explores an imaginary underwater world where time and space don't follow the same order of our world. All is different, including its inhabitants. This fictional tale is written in the easy-to-read story-telling way, but is not a children's story. This is ultimately a fantasy tale about love, prejudice, conflict, life choices and courage. A metaphor for ever-present social issues, universal to mankind.
