Dimarian Island, Eastern Atlantic: A social, economic and technological outlier, Dimarian's unique economy and society are the result of a devastating plague that wiped out the country's womenfolk almost three centuries ago. Discovering a way of reproducing without females, the male population diverged from the rest of the world, developing its own unique values and culture. But now Wanda, a Dutch businesswoman, is stranded on the shore of this isolated state, a country whose inhabitants are under orders to kill foreigners on sight.
