Essays Unexpected

This collection of some of my essays includes a little flash fiction and a short story which wants to be a novella. For some time l have wanted to at least try to synthesise my life in teaching and linguistics with a narrative. It has taken ages with lots of set backs but with perseverance l have now achieved this aim. Without Feed-A-Read, The Arts Council, The National Lottery, Toastmasters and most recently The Society of Authors l would not have been able to do this so thanks to you all in particular those who helped with interviews. This book is in the educational section but don't be put off. For me it is a breakthrough which for years l was stupidly unable to correlate until l read of the genuine fun people can have with most subjects. Yes, hard work putting it together but if learning has no fun factor motivation can be lost so l hope you find these humble offerings interesting and enjoyable.
