Gertie's War

Gertie thinks of herself as a loyal housewife, happily married to the hard-working railwayman Albert. She's resiliently enduring the hardships of war, in early 1944, until one day she’s betrayed by a friend. There’s a knock on the door and her life changes forever. She suffers at the hands of a man determined to use her for his own purposes. Her beliefs and values are challenged as never before. She will never be the same again. Only the love for her husband and family and her inner strength keep her going. Will it be enough?
