Now I Understand
Lezlee was born into a family living in poverty just after World War Two. At times she felt unwanted and unloved. Life was difficult because most of the time the family lived under a vast amount of stress mainly due to lack of finances and the way society thought about various issues at the time. The main thing that held her back was the fact she did not know who her father was and when she thought she had found him her life was thrown into turmoil. The story is not all doom and gloom and there are many highlights as she talks to Noah who she meets one Christmas Eve. They meet in unexpected circumstances due to his dog Zerachiel.
She tells Noah about her life and as the story unfolds she realises that blame apportioned to her was not always her fault, just circumstances that got out of hand. Most of all she wants to be loved, cherished and perhaps most importantly understood.
Talking to Noah helps her understand so many things but has she left it too late to change the course of her life and has she got the courage to the right choices that will bring her happiness.
