Restless Waters
The River Thames in late August: towards the end of the main boating season. Amongst the flotillas passing up and downstream are a number of colourful characters who are brought together by the nature of the river itself, resulting in their lives interweaving whether they like it or not. Humour and tragedy mix as the characters become involved in lust, romance, smuggling, murder, flooding and grand theft.
All are made credible as Duncan Shepherd uses his river craft experience to unfold a story which is as much about the great Thames as about the people who throng the waters.
