The Coming of the Zartangs

The Zartangs have come to earth; an intergalactic shopping empire bent on turning humanity into meat to sell on to other worlds. Adrian Lotterby, a recently sacked shelf-stacker, alcoholic, and general lazy person is the only one who isn't under the control of the mind beam left to do anything about it. When another alien species in the form of an obnoxious cat warns him of his fate, he isn't all that bothered. But when a beautiful woman survivor makes an appearance he finds he has some incentive to save the planet.
