About This Author

I was born in Rhoose in 1956 where I grew up and married a Barry boy and had two children and a grandson. In 1980 I lost my Austrian born mother who was only 50 years old, the following year I discovered I had Multiple Sclerosis. It was not until my father was given a year to live in 1997 that I became involved in the spiritual movement. And when my grandmother died 10 months later Howard and I decided it was time to change our life, so we moved to West Wales to be close to my sister and her family. Just after Dad died I graduated with Open University and when we moved to Carmarthenshire I worked for a temping agency, which sent me to places like 3M’s, Design Print, WAG, Defra, & The Diocese Office. Soon I became involved in ghost hunting. I joined a group called Spooks Paranormal Investigations (SPI) run by Simon Curwood. Before long I was helping Simon on regular events and my medium skills meant I experienced many spirits through-out Vale of Glamorgan and West Wales. Prior to this I had started to write a story about smuggling around Barry but I just couldn’t finish it. That was until we visited the Swan Llantwit Major and found the secret stairs. In 2010 I had another MS attack which left me house bound for a few months. To help me recover I focused on my writing once again and this is a result. Even though my ghost hunts have stopped I get great pleasure working with Spirit who I am sure helped me write Tumbledown.
