Ron Buckley writing as L.S. STONE Ron Buckley born 25th November 1949. Ron was born in the South Yorkshire area of Sheffield called Chapeltown, but spent his early years living in the town of Wombwell, where he attended the local High School. After leaving school he went on to join the Army, where he served in the Royal Regiment of Artillery for a total of thirty-four years, during which time he served in Northern Ireland, the Falklands, and Germany. On leaving the Army Ron and his wife Gwen chose to live and work in Essex, where he took up employment as the Deputy County Director for Essex Boys’ Clubs, a well-known charity youth organisation. After eleven years with the charity Ron decided to set up and run his own First Aid and Health and Safety Company. It was at this time that he decided to write his first book, although he had harbored the thought for a few years by then. CASHBACK is his second book, his first being Death, And Then Some. He is married to Gwen and they have two sons, both of whom are now married. Ron and Gwen have six grandchildren of whom they are immensely proud. Ron plans to extend his writing to encompass a series of books for children as well as further adult titles.
