He has operated vessels ranging from passenger-carrying sailing and motor craft to cargo, excursion and ferry boats. He operates a marine consulting and yacht delivery service from Mystic Connecticut USA. He has written numerous articles for various marine publications as well as being a staff writer and editor. His book "Confident Powerboating: Mastering Skills and Avoiding Trouble Afloat" (McGraw-Hill 2008)is on its third printing and is used as a text by marine training organizations. "Confident Sailing: etc.," will be published June, 2014. Shoreline East is his first novel.
