Goodbye Blighty & Other Stories
This anthology aims to keep the reader entertained when they are looking for a short read - on the beach, on a flight, on a train journey. It is an eclectic mix of short stories: sad, nostalgic, tongue-in-cheek, far-fetched (perhaps predictive). Some were inspired by actual events. The hundred-year anniversary of the start of the First World War brought about the opening tale 'Goodbye Blighty', the1987 Great Storm triggered the writing of 'Halfway House' while 'The Ring' seemed apt in view of the current interest in WWII. I hope the remaining stories speak for themselves.
