SWANS SING BEFORE THEY DIE

Jessica Brown, a young woman with a terrible secret and a strong desire to distance herself from her poverty-stricken childhood. During WWII she progresses from working on an Islington market stall, to recruitment in the Land Army, to singing for WWII troops in the Middle East and Italy. But, on coming back to post-war Britain with ambition in her heart, she discovers that London's West End is overflowing with would-be stars. How will she make her way in the face of such competition? Jessie's story is one of courage and determination as she confronts her demons and climbs the ladder to success.
