Originally from Los Angeles, Kirk studied business at Cal Poly Pomona. He moved to Munich, Germany in the early 1990s after meeting a German girl in college and got married. They have three adult sons. Kirk works in IT with the Bavarian government. He started writing as a hobby in 2009 and got his first story, "How to Steal a Lion", on the Editor's Desk at Authonomy.com in March 2012. Kirk believes reading should be interesting and fun, and that happy endings are important because they inspire the soul.
