An Ordinary Life
David Matlock was not a happy man. His marriage to Rachel was, you might say, petering out. The couple agreed on only one thing, that was that their marriage was at an end. On the rebound from that sad failure of a relationship, David takes succour in a rundown country cottage to occupy his new found freedom. That was good as far as it went but soon the need for human companionship came to the fore and so did Catherine Southerby, a new member at David’s golf club, recently divorced and with a young jealously minded young son. It was a cautious courtship with Timothy, the young boy involved always in the picture. But love will out and the couple marry but not entirely without trauma in David’s working life as he undergoes two redundancy situations. Their personal is not without drama when Tim goes missing while on a family holiday in Cornwall. All the ups and downs of an ordinary life you might say.
