Profile: Paul Mann

About This Author

Paul started writing at the age of 60 following a heart attack. Prior to that he had various jobs, starting as a merchant seaman at the age of 16, leaving the sea to get married and have a family after 4 years. A job he says turned a cocky teenager into a man. He then worked as a window cleaner, a door to door salesman, trained as a plasterer, made strowger telephones, a BT (GPO) operator, a market trader and a private hire taxi driver before his taxi license was revoked due to the heart attack. A reader of books his interest is Si-Fi, a genre carried over to his writing, although he has a dry sense of humour which shows at times in his writing. Paul has been married twice and is a father, grandfather and great grandfather. He writes for fun, "stuff HE would like to read," rather than profit, enjoying nothing better than letting his imagination roam across the pages unfolding on his laptop.
