A Reliable Woman

It's 1972 and Constable Lily Cavanagh takes her future into her own hands when she accepts a transfer to a two-man station in the beautiful hinterland town of Gerygone. Her boyfriend Ryan begs her not to go, but Lily wants more from her police career than school crossings and traffic duty. Lily loves the job and as she becomes involved with the people and activities of the town, she meets Rafael Navarro, handsome owner of the fitness centre. He makes no attempt to hide his feelings for her and she begins to question her relationship with Ryan. The town is rocked by a series of major crimes, apparently unrelated, but when Lily and her boss Sergeant Salter investigate, they find connections: connections Lily should have made before they come to a dreadful climax; connections she would have made if she'd been concentrating on her job, not her personal life. Lily must decide with whom and where her loyalties lie. It is one thing to be a reliable woman in her job; another thing altogether to be a reliable woman in matters of the heart.
