Whispers in the Soul
For Scottish telecom engineer Sam McLure, based in the North West of Scotland, being called out in the depths of winter, in the middle of the night to a fault in a remote junction box; it is only the beginning of his troubles.
The local police find his Land Rover abandoned with a flat battery a couple of days later. The fresh snow still displays his tracks up to the pole, and his harness is still attached twenty feet up and next to the junction box. There is nothing to show that he came down again and no other marks at all. On searching his home, they find his passport and a cache of women’s clothes. Sam has a secret.
Meanwhile Michelle, having just given birth to a daughter, faces an adversary who is immune to her powers and powerful in other ways at getting what he wants. What he wants is a problem eradicated, and that problem is Michelle. He hires an ex-NYPD cop, Rick Bryce, with a history of ruthlessness to eradicate his little problem.
Onto the scene comes another young woman with a different and potentially lethal agenda.
No one was prepared for Samantha, not even Michelle.
